City of Richmond’s Draft Youth Strategy

Tell us what matters most to YOUth!

 

If you are between 13 to 24 years old, a parent/guardian, work with youth, or represent a youth-serving organization -

please share your feedback on the City of Richmond’s Draft Youth Strategy.

 

The Draft Youth Strategy for Richmond is based on extensive public and stakeholder engagement and work by City staff. Once approved by Council, the Youth Strategy will provide the City, and others working with youth, with an important framework to support and meet the unique needs of youth aged 13-24 in Richmond through to 2032.

 

How to Share Feedback:

 

·       Review the Draft Youth Strategy, Draft Strategic Priorities and Actions at a Glance, and other information at https://www.letstalkrichmond.ca/draftyouthstrategy.

·       Complete the survey by Sunday, April 2, 2023

·       If you are 19-24 years old, join us at our Social Night on March 22, 2023*

·       Keep your eyes open for our roaming Street Team, who will be out in the community* collecting feedback and sharing info about the Draft Youth Strategy

About the Youth Strategy for Richmond

The City of Richmond is committed to ensuring all youth in Richmond have a safe, healthy and enriching journey to adulthood. The Youth Strategy:

·       will guide the City’s work with and for young people in Richmond aged 13-24 years;

·       serves as a road map for the City, its partners and local organizations to deliver services, programs and supports for youth in Richmond; and

·       includes Strategic Priorities and Actions the City and its partners will take to ensure the well-being of Richmond youth and provide access to opportunities that can help young people live their best lives.

 

The City of Richmond is seeking feedback on the Draft Youth Strategy including the Draft Vision, along with the Draft Strategic Priorities and Supporting Actions. The feedback collected through this process will ensure that diverse perspectives and key interests are represented in the Strategy before it is finalized and presented to Richmond City Council for approval and implementation.
