Dear General Currie Families,

We hope that all our Currie families have enjoyed a pleasant summer break!  We are excited to see each of you and have been working hard to prepare for our return to school.  We look very forward to seeing you next week!  

If you have not yet done so, it will be important to notify the school if you do not plan to have your child attend next week (604-668-6441).  

Please see the attached schedule for Tuesday (short day) through Friday next week (Wednesday through Friday, full days).  Please also see the attached chart which shares where students will meet in their last year division groups (*please note that some division groups may meet with the same or a different teacher in a different learning space). 

We aim to have all students placed in their new classes by Friday afternoon (Monday, the 11^th will be ‘Plan B’ if additional time is required).  We will communicate with parents about classroom moves later next week.

On Tuesday when you arrive, please bring your child(ren) returning to Currie to their line up for their division from last year (Two groups attending: at 8:45 am, and at 1 pm – please see attached for your child’s set time).  All new students arriving at either time are asked to meet us in our school Library (main school entrance).  These students will stay with us for the hour and will be placed in temporary classes for the remainder of the first week.  *Parents of new students will meet their child(ren) at the end of the hour on Tuesday, outside at the school main entrance steps/doors.  

As mentioned in a previous communication to parents of our new Kindergarten students, please meet our three Kindergarten teachers at 9 am at exterior door number 3 (left of our main school entrance doors).  Parents of our Kindergarten students please also plan to meet with Mr. Sala and Ms. Pikkarainen in the gym for a welcome and information share at that time and once students are settled in classrooms.  Thank you!
