October 2 - 6 Week at a Glance
Dear Parents,
Today was Orange Shirt day at General Currie. We were grateful to partake in a special performance by Coastal Wolf Pack which set the tone of the day for us. We take so many things we learned this week into tomorrow, as we take time to reflect on what National Day for Truth and Reconciliation means for each of us personally, and as a country. We hope that you will take time to reflect, discuss and share our collective aims and that students will share some of their learning with you at home this weekend.
We send a number of attachments with the WAAG for next week and would like to bring these to your attention:
- October Calendar (we hope that these are useful to you at home!)
- Fruit and Veggie Program - this is starting once again in October. You only need to return the attached form to the office if you do not want your child to participate in this program.
- Richmond School Hearing - with each school year, all Kindergarten students are scheduled to be tested for their hearing. This will take place on October 10th (*parents of K students do not need to submit a form). Should you wish for your child(ren) in grades 1 - 7 to be tested, please complete the attached form and submit it to the office. If we do not receive a form, your child(ren) will not have their hearing tested at school.
Please be reminded that there is no school on Monday. We look forward to seeing you once again next Tuesday and wish all of our families a sunny and bright Autumn weekend!
Sincerely,
Mr. Sala and Ms. Pikkarainen
